Pragmatic Semiconductor manufactures flexible integrated circuits on thin plastic substrates instead of silicon wafers. Its FlexIC chips, including the ConnectIC RFID and NFC parts, are intended for tagging everyday items, packaging and reusable containers where silicon tags are too costly or rigid. The company operates fabs in Cambridge and Durham in the UK and also offers a foundry service for custom flexible chip designs.
Focus: flexible ics, rfid chips.
