Irdeto, part of South Africa’s MultiChoice Group, started in pay-TV conditional access and now applies the same key management and code hardening to connected vehicles, industrial machinery and consumer electronics. Its Cloakware product obfuscates and protects application code against reverse engineering, while its Keystone system handles digital vehicle keys for fleet operators and car makers. It also supplies plug-and-charge PKI for electric vehicle charging.
