IBM Consulting designs and integrates IoT and operational technology programs for manufacturers, utilities and transport operators, while the Maximo Application Suite handles asset management, condition monitoring and predictive maintenance through Maximo Manage, Monitor, Health and Predict. IBM withdrew its Watson IoT Platform device cloud at the end of 2023, so device data now reaches Maximo through integrations rather than an IBM-run broker. The company also offers edge computing software, security services and quantum and mainframe systems, with operations in more than 170 countries.
