Hilscher is a German company that designs multi-protocol communication technology for industrial automation. Its netX system-on-chip family runs PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT and other real-time Ethernet protocols from a single silicon design, and is sold as chips, modules and PC cards to device manufacturers. The netFIELD product line adds edge gateways and a container management service that moves fieldbus data into IT and cloud applications.
